David B. Holnagel

Of Counsel

David earned his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University with Honors and his law degree from Southwestern School of Law.  He is admitted to practice in all state and federal trial courts in California and the United States Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit.

David focuses his practice on automobile and trucking collisions and homeowner issues, including landslide and unstable soil claims. Since 1986, he has been regularly retained by insurance companies to complete Examinations Under Oath and has tried over 70 cases to verdict. 

David has earned several recognitions and accolades, including the IASIU Dedicated Service Award, IASIU Defense Attorney of the Year, and IASIU Attorney of the Year and is current counsel to Southern California Chapter of the International Association of Special Investigation Units.  He is a member of the State Bar of California, San Diego County Bar Association, and San Diego Defense Lawyer Association.

He is married and has two daughters and four grandchildren.  In his free time, he loves golf, bike riding, travel, and cooking and is passionate about college basketball.  He is a member of the Spartan Club and the Aztec Club and is a San Diego State basketball season ticket holder
